Greetings:

I’ve recently moved back to the country and we are in the process of cleaning a five-acre track my wife and I have owned for twenty-five years. The process is slow due to the incredible amount of growth in vegetation that has occurred unabated over the years.
The most amazing plant growing on this world is one singular plant or should I say vine.
I’m in a daily battle with thorny briars that reach as high as a tree grows and the width bound only by its natural surroundings and so thick they block the sunlight. The thorns are like tiny claws grabbing every nook and crease of your clothing and skin; once it grabs hold there is an ensuing battle to tear them loose. Both skin and clothing become casualties of the constant war with this plant. It’s merciless in its choice of victims and its choice of age; the vines are not discriminatory in the least, catching and holding is its primary and sole function.
It occurred to me satan and the demonic world have much the same purpose. The thorns are substituted by sin but that is about the only difference. Sin left unchallenged will consume your life; it will grab hold of you and refuse to relent. It will grow in every nook and cranny chocking out every other remnants of surrounding life. It will affect you and those you love and care about. Sin is like the vine reaching out with its tentacles and grabbing hold of everyone you come in contact with.
The only cure for both land and man is total eradication; a clearing of the land and a new life lead by Christ. These efforts must be continues presence within our lives to keep the briars and satan away. The clearing of land brings new life to the trees and plants that are there to shade and support the surrounding eco system. With the briars gone, they can finally do their jobs in their part of the world.
With satan out of our lives, we also can do the work Christ has set aside of us.

Cloudy Days

Greetings:

Has spring sprung or is winter laying in ambush, this is a question we would all like an answer to. Weather is unpredictable at best, even with today’s technology, satellite imaging, and decades of tried and true methods, the weather still manages to best the brightest in weather prognostications.
Weather is like human nature in some ways, you think you have someone figured out and they go and do something totally unexpected. There is no way of seeing into the mind of a person and determine their real inner self, only God can see the real person. Tried and true methods of determining what kind of person another human being is, once again it’s like weather. You have to experience them just a little to see if you want to get any closer.
It’s a shame we can’t see a five day forecast listed on each person we meet; then, you would know who to avoid and who you might enjoy being around. Those with heavy thunderstorms showing might be on the verge of self-destruction; we sure want to give plenty of personal space to them. Those with moderate showers may need a shoulder or two to cry on and a willing ear to listen.
The sunny and bright and warm days ahead are the ones we all feel good about being around and want to share time with. We tend to plan all our memorable moments around that type of forecast, both human and weather related a like.
In our lives just as in nature, we need the rain and we need the sunny days, the trick is to balance the time we spend in both. There are plenty of variations in between, we are not always sunny and bright, nor are we always gloomy and dull, most times we are just sunny but partly cloudy, with a slight chance of rain.
Depend on God, the rain is needed as well as the sun, enjoy the days you have in both. Use prayer as a forecast, and you will never go wrong.

Garden of God

Greetings:

We started a garden yesterday, first time in about fifteen years I have planted one. “What inspired me to plant a garden”, you may ask. It’s an enjoyable activity for one and I get plenty of exercise for another reason and with the prices in the stores today, it’s a lot cheaper to plant seeds. Not only have I planted seeds but seeds that will reproduce themselves. I just want to be sure if time get worst, I might be able to eat veggies.

I think the main reason just might be the level of unassuredness in today’s world. It’s getting scary out there and seems to be on a downhill slide at breakneck speed. We have wars going on that don’t even make the news and the ones that do have immeasurable consequences tied to their outcomes.

We can’t control the external forces that threaten our daily lives; they are part of the ebb and flow of this physical world. We do have limited control our private spaces and homes; these are the areas where we find security and comfort. Even though most homes in metropolitan areas and have a semblance of security; either by space or restrictions a garden is something that isn’t practical.

The economy has a chokehold on the nations poor and no relief is in the near future is in sight. Gas is said to be going back to $4.00 per gallon that means everything will take another leap in prices. It’s time to become more self-sufficient, and not be dependent upon the local grocer for all of our needs.

It’s planting season for everyone, not just those that have gardens. It’s time to plant veggies and fruit for all the reasons above but it’s time to plant the spiritual fruit as well.

Seeds don’t grow unless they are planted in good soil and get the nurturing they need to survive. God’s word is the same; it’s planted, watered, and cultivated to bring forth the type of fruit desirable to God.

We started a garden yesterday; it brought satisfaction and a little comfort to us. Tonight Frank and I will be watering another garden we started two years ago, we hope you can join us and participate in the middle of the garden of God.

The Gathering Storm

Greetings:

I heard on the television the other day the statement “If Israel attacks Iran, there will ensue a world war” this is probably a true statement. But, what if Israel doesn’t attack Iran’s’ nuclear facilities? And, what would Iran do if they acquire an atomic weapon in the form of a long-range missal capable of wiping out Tel Aviv? Would Iran do nothing or would they try (as they have promised) destroying Israel as a country and people.
The gathering storm of sorts is on the horizon. China and Russia have stated strong opposition to Israel or any other country attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. In the meantime, the US, Britain, Canada, and other counties recognize the ever-growing threat a nuclear Iran posses to the world and sees very little recourse but action unless diplomacy can succeed. In fact, there has been a quiet build up of US forces in Israel and in the Mediterranean Sea over the last few months, adding to the growing belief we are on the verge of action against Iran.
The nail in the coffin so to speak, the news reported Madonna fans sent a letter to the Israeli government, asking they would postpone any attacks on Iran until after her tour in Israel in May. Certainly, the Israeli government must get their priorities in the right order, what’s this world coming too, when we put national security before a Madonna concert?
Our president has stated that he believes we can solve this issue with diplomacy but I think even he has doubts about talking Iran into a peaceable solution at this point. Diplomacy has an affect if the one’s setting the terms has the power and willingness to ensure any bargain reached is kept; otherwise, diplomacy is useless. Iran knows we have a weak President who is more interested in destroying the US citizen’s rights than addressing the threats Iran posses to the rest of the world.
The problem the world has; once the storm hits, it’s too late to do anything but react. The days are growing shorter and every day that goes by brings us closer to the return of Christ. Before Christ return, the world will be turned upside down and nearly obliterated by the demonic forces of this world. Israel attacking Iran could be the beginning of such times, are you ready?

I've Seen!

I’ve seen a lot in the time I have lived upon this planet. I’ve seen men who claim to be Christ come to stake their claim to my salvation and their fame. Most of times they are sloughed off like so much dandruff, but sometimes they are taken seriously enough to cause real problems. It seems the world wants to hope for something so bad they latch onto the first thing that looks and sounds like the real McCoy; to bad they don’t pay any attention to the truth.
I’ve seen wars of every color in the last sixty years. It seems there is no end to reasons men will kill one another. Even familiar neighborhoods are hardly safe any longer from gangs and random acts of violence. The main excuse for wholesale slaughter is still religion and probably always will be. In the name of peoples version of God, murder and war in his name is justified in mans eyes.
I’ve seen where wars have become the root problems to disease, famine, and mass exodus. It’s become the reason crops can’t be planted or harvested; why fertile ground goes untilled for countless years.
I’ve seen, in the name of Democracy nations are rising up in revolt across the spectrum of the world, usurping one regime after another. They are replacing one master for another and in turn are setting the stage unwittingly it seems, for global governance.
I’ve lived to see God’s truth preached around the world instantly via internet and web-cam. Anyone with an internet connection can hear Christ gospel expounded and taught live each Sabbath and anytime they wish to download the files.
What I haven’t seen is the return of Christ but that event will only take place after much more of the same mentioned above. It will only happen when Christ is ready not when man wants it to happen. In the meantime, we bound to this earth and among all that is happening; it’s our duty in these times of danger to watch in the approaching days ahead, to give witness and warnings to those that will hear the word of the true and living Christ.

Why Hate Isreal?

Did you ever wonder why Islamic countries hate the nation of Israel so much? Why is it, they spend so many resources and so much effort to see the annihilation of a people and country the size of it in comparison, would fit inside Lake Michigan. What did such a tiny nation do to these enormous oil rich nations that could possibly deserve such an acidic hatred? It’s the kind of hatred that eats away at the very soul of a person or in this case a religion.
A religion that has a core value of destruction of another religion is built upon satanic aspirations. I keep hearing moderate Muslims say, the Quran doesn’t teach violence; yet, the evidence says otherwise from every aspect of their culture. It’s not just how they feel about Israel but how they treat their women; the perversions inside there countries dealing with young boys. The intolerance of the Christian religion or even owning a bible is capitol offence in some Islamic countries.
Hatred of Israel is simply the fuel that drives their satanic engines; it gives them the power of justification to demonize the one people God has recognized above the rest of the world. The Islamic stance is one of a pseudo morality; they have their own set of moral values and they are in direct conflict with the rest of the worlds and certainly Gods values. They claim superiority in religion, family values, and culture but if not for oil; they would still be millennia behind the rest of the world.
Why do they hate Israel? Because; they hate! They hate all that is good, all that is peaceful loving, and all that is moral. You must bow to Allah or die, you must bow to hate or perish, you must bow to a religion by intolerance would remove the name of Jesus Christ from every household and replace it with Allah at the threat of a sword.
Jesus demands our love and devotion but it doesn’t require you to blow yourself up in a pizza hut along with women and children to show your dedication. You need only to obey the words that have lived on for millennia before there was such a religion as Islam. You need only to believe the words in your bible, something sadly, few ever do.

Do You Remember

Greetings:

I can remember a time when things were simple; no computers, ipods, notebooks and all the other techno-gadgets available on the market today. Back then, if you needed to know what two plus two was you figured it out with a pencil and piece of paper. You watched television on a thirteen inch black & white TV, if at all, and you knew everyone of your neighbors and their needs.
That was a great time to live, but it had its problems as well, but the problems then didn’t take a super computer to resolve; just hard work and determination.
If you go further back in time, just a hundred years ago; it was a time even simpler in terms of technology but demanded more in the way of physical abilities. As you travel back into the lost days of the pioneer and study the simple life of waking at dawn and begin the day that would see you working till dusk simply to survive. You worked like this sometimes seven days a week. Very few days were spent on special occasions or parties for endless events. Eating out was shooting something and cooking it on an open fire; you begin to appreciate the time we live in where automation is king.
What if today, all of our gadgets stopped working; our electricity went off and didn’t come back on. What if, your auto didn’t start and no one else’s would either. What would you do if something like this happened today? This is a scenario no one wants to see happen but can happen easier than you know.
It seems to us today incomprehensible to live without our modern conveniences but we could be forced back into a time just like our Grandparents and great Grandparents with the push of a button.
Are you prepared for the days ahead, not saying this scenario is going to happen but perhaps something on a lesser scale will affect us in profound ways in the near future? Have you thought about how you will live within the parameters of different contingencies, or are you content in accepting whatever fate has in store for you?
Faith in God is always our first order of the day, no matter the condition of the world around us. Faith will guide us and help us in times of trouble and we should believe in God with all of our hearts and minds but just as in the days of the pioneers, hard work, determination along with our faith will see us through the rough times ahead.

The good Fight

Greetings:

Has anyone ever said to you “Keep up the good fight”, or “Fight the good fight”, did you come away thinking they had some kind of violent tendencies and were to be avoided in the future. Maybe you understood they were referring to Paul’s epistle in 2 Timothy 4:6-8 where Paul is encouraging the church to press ever forward in spite of growing obstacles.
Paul’s life was coming to an end when he wrote this epistle, he had done all he could to make a better world and spread the truth but he could not deter the inevitable (death).
The fight is not always a religious one; we are witnesses to events in time where some believe we are at the precarious edge of global destruction or at the least, global dominance by a one world government. A government which will eradicate its opposition with little resistance, most will bow in acceptance and follow in fear of death. Will this be the fight we will come face to face with; will our lives depend upon us accepting something as simple as which day we worship upon?
Fighting is a word used to describe someone’s action in achieving a goal or possessing something. I see today many fighting for their special brand of truth with the same tenacity and inspiration Paul possessed. The leadership of our country is being fought for with a furious contention, the like unseen for many generations. Only one will prevail in the end and our country will be in the hands of the one who comes out on top. It will be by the hand of God who ultimately winds up in the Whitehouse; our fight as Gods’ people is a different kind of fight.
Fighting the good fight is a duty God’s people embrace; it is a fight worth engaging in and being an active member of. We, (Gods people) stand for more than just some organization we attach ourselves to, we are the church, the bride of the living God (Jesus Christ) and we don our holy armor each day to battle for that purpose that was the good fight Paul fought and the one we fight today. Put away your bitterness towards one another and become one holy army, we all can fight the good fight together.

Rain

Greetings:

It’s raining here in Texas; that may not be a big deal across the country but here, it’s a big event. We haven’t seen rain in this quantity in a very long time; it was nice to sit back and listen to the drops hit the roof of the house. I don’t mind if it rains for days; all I can say is, keep on coming rain.
I heard it rained in Washington last night as well. It seems the President wants to cause a flood of biblical proportions in government spending and more regulations to finish out his first term, according to his speech. At the same time, it seems we have a sever drought of common sense when it comes to regulating by the Constitution in Washington.
Let me get this straight, we are drowning in red ink; so, the solution is too spend even more money and create an environment hostile to business by increasing their taxes; that’s the answer to our wows.
I prefer the type of rain we are so gratefully receiving here in Texas. It is a whole lot more beneficial and even though you get stuck in the mud occasionally; you can clean up and you’re as good as new. In Washington, they will never be clean from their mishandling of our nations problems. That type of dirt doesn’t remove very easily and it’s there for the world to see. You have to ask yourself, “How can so immoral corrupt bunch of folks walk around prideful acting like they’re the purist of our nation”?
Pray God’s Kingdom come.

The Race

Greetings:

The continuing search for the perfect GOP candidate is fully underway at this moment. They’re being vetted by the mainstream media to see if there is a hanging offence committed in their families within the last hundred and fifty years. In their personal lives, they must have been sanctioned as Saints with a dash of Nobel peace prize added to their accomplishments in order for them to be qualified to hold the office of President, judging by the standards set by the media.
It’s a sad day in America when a presidential debate is reduced to a gossip commentary instead of focusing on the worldviews of the candidates. It was a refreshing moment in time when the arbiters of filth had their crafted gotcha question thrown back into their faces by Newt Gaigrich in such a way it brought to the forefront the ongoing issues with the media and their bias.
We have many domestic and world issues that are on the verge of being devastating disasters; spending time worrying whether a candidate is suited for the job because he makes too much money or made the right investments (in their view) is spinning your tires in a mud hole, you go nowhere fast.
It makes you wonder when all is said and done with the GOP nomination process and the full election begins, will there be the same examination of the Democratic contender same as the Republicans, I think not. It also makes you wonder how they would treat Jesus Christ, would they honor him as the Son of God, the creator, the messiah. Once again; I think not, I believe they would not only try to destroy him but try and murder him all over again.
Somewhere in the not so far off in the future, they will have a chance to prove themselves and show they are decent and honorable men and women in the media; either this year with the presidential race or when Christ returns. I believe if I were them, I would start now, so when they have to write a column about Christ in the future, they may just get a bit of it right and show they are not fully on the side of Satan.

Time

Greetings:

I sincerely hope everyone is having a wonderful week and your health is good. In a few short minutes I have to get up and start fulfilling the days work laid out for me. The clock has dictated that I begin moving now or time will punish me somewhere down the line.

Time is an exacting Master and demands without exception we keep pace with it every second, minute, day, week, month and year. We cannot escape it grasp no matter how vigil or lazy we are; it hovers over us like a giant shadow forever pushing us forward to our next scheduled event.

Time may seem too slow down in some instances and speed up at an incredible rate in others but the clock is the pace maker of the world and maintains our track forward with the consistent ticking of the clock no matter how we perceive its flow. We feel joy and time rewards us with the memories of those events; we mark them with markers in the form of dates and look back in fond memories. We record those events with photos, videos and other media so as to cheat time only for a brief moment and join our laughter or tears to the ones time made us leave behind.

Equally, time is a punisher of us all leaving only the dead behind, for the dead knows nothing we are told in Ecclesiastes and time in uniquely tailored for this world alone. Time grants our birth and records that same event; time demands our death both eventually fade away with the steams of history, for time is only important only to the living.

If we left this world today and went to another planet, time would find us there as well but with a different face. In the dead of space only the clock could guide us, for it is there that all semblances of time has disappeared and forever darkness has no reminders of us or any other physical being. It is there God hovers’ in vigilant expectation of a day our bible says is set apart for time to introduce this world to its maker and savior. It is a day on the calendar the world is desperately running away from. We cannot escape the prison time encapsulates us all in, for Christ draws closer each day that passes.

Now I’m late, and time has marked that event but one thing is for sure in this world ruled by clocks. Christ will not be late, nor will he turn aside from his prophecies, they have been fulfilled in the past and time will guide them to their conclusion somewhere in the near future.

You might be a Redneck

Greetings:

Remember the line that went “You maybe a redneck if” fill in the blank. It was a sensation at the comedy clubs and theaters and they seem to hit just the right cord with a lot of folks. Often times, I would hear one of the redneck lines and find myself thinking”hey, that’s me.” Somewhere in the humor is a basis of truth and when you think about it, that is why it’s so funny, the humor is built around truth.
It is fast becoming “hey you might be a Christian if” fill in the derogatory blank. Just as in the redneck line, one might find himself or herself associating with the tag lines coming out of our mainstream media and Hollywood today. You might be a Christian if, you believe in gun rights, privet property rights, right to work, legal immigration, card check, and limited welfare, and not to mention limited government and many other issues, the list goes on and on.
You might be a Christian if you believe a child that has jut been conceived has as much right to live as one that is nine months in the womb. You might be a Christian if you believe in freedom of religion and the right to voice your opinion openly; go where you want and when you want.
Christian is fast becoming a label people shun; it’s not popular or cool to be a Christian or believe in God. The evil is there everyday, every hour, every minute to ensure Christians fail. But being a Christian isn’t the worst of it when it comes to being the target of jokes and put-downs.
God’s people are the hardest hit when it comes to abject persecution; not only does the world hate Gods people but “Christians” hate us as well. You might be one of Gods people if you keep the Sabbath holy, if you abstain from unclean foods, if you don’t observe pagan holidays like Christmas and Easter. You might be one of God elect if you keep the Holy Days of God, if you love God with all your heart and all your soul.
You might be one who shows their love for God through obeying his laws and keeping the commandments, it’s no joke.

Troubled Waters

Greeting:

I don’t have much in the way of a message today, I apologize. My mind is filled with so many other things going on right now it is hard to gather my thoughts and focus. I had a cousin die this week and my mind has been on him and his family; he is the second cousin of mine to die within the last month. Other issues as well are pressing hard on my mind and that takes up the little space in my brain I have to spare.

Maybe that’s the message for today, no, it’s not my brain. Unburden your cares, and give them to the Father in Heaven. Jesus the messiah is our Shepard and hope for a life after this one. That life won’t be in heaven, sorry my protestant friends but the bible teaches us differently about where we will be spending eternity.

Another message today might be, we are mortal, and everything’s going to be okay, we have the promises of Jesus to keep us in times of trouble. Like the beam of light from the lighthouse across the troubled waters, we are guided too the safety of the harbor. In the stillness of our minds we can hear the whispers of Gods words reminding us, we are in his hand and are safe from the world.

String of Events

Greetings:

In recent days, a series of events have taken place in obscurity of the Republican President campaigning that can only be described as alarming. It seems the President has bypassed congress and the law once more in appointing three vacant cabinet posts as recess appointments. The problem with the appointments begins with the unorthodox way it which they were initiated not holding with procedures enacted for over ninety years of governing.
Another aspect of the appointments is the appointees themselves; they are best described by most who know them as dyed in the wool communist. This is the very reason congress wanted the opportunity to vet them in the open too begin with and was trying to ensure hearings on these nominees would have taken place.
Like a series of beads being placed on a string forming a necklace; one can see events being shaped though radical governing forming a dictatorial style government. During Hitler’s rise to power Germany’s government could say they were naive about such covert maneuverings, but such is not the case here in America today.
We know how despots rise to power; we’ve seen it over and over, time and again; we have the how-to-manuals and blueprints to such desires; they are quoted from almost on a daily basis. Yet, it may seem to an innocent bystander this is exactly what’s taking place in the good old USA today with our current administration hell bent upon governing unilaterally without restraints.
The government Jesus Christ will bring to this earth will be dictatorial in nature as well but with blaring differences. Jesus Christ is the righteous judge and lawgiver. He rules with a rod of iron but judges mercifully, something man is not capable of. Christ government will give us freedoms we’ve never experienced on earth; mans will strip freedom from us no matter where we are on this planet; pray”thy Kingdom come.”

Straw Polls

Greetings:

I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I awoke this morning and checked my e-mails and discovered about fifteen messages from different news outlets announcing different stages of the straw polls. First, we had everyone’s favorite to win; then, we had the projected winner, and finely a CNN news flash stating Fox news reported Iowa decaled a winner. I’m just kidding but that is how ridicules it has become with our mainstream media these days.
The race for the next savior of the world has become a virtual tie between, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum with Ron Paul close at their heals. I know we are in trouble when the next news flash said “Arizona Sen. John McCain, who was the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, will endorse Mitt Romney on Wednesday in New Hampshire.”
It seems to me, this whole process of selecting a candidate for the Republican Party has some serious flaws. First, why does Iowa get to go first every time, it seems to me we should rotate the order every four years but who am I to suggest fairness in the process. Second, how is it possible the Republicans can nominate the worst possible candidate just about every time, even a blind squirrel finds a good nut every once in a while. Third, there is entirely too much media involvement; if it wasn’t for them, the people might actually get what they want for a change.
Well, that‘s my gripe about the process and I know it won’t change anything but it’s nice to get it off my chest. However, you have to ask yourself how long can this nation stand a mediocre, know nothing leader? Not too much longer it appears; we truly need a leader that is capable of leading and I’m afraid that isn’t going to happen until Christ returns.

Missing the Mark

Greetings:

“A miss is as good as a mile” we’re all familiar with this saying and have probably used one version or another in our lifetime. The saying originates in colonial times and isn’t even uniquely American, its origins can be attributed to the British Isles as far back as 1614 by: William Camden's Remaines of a Greater Worke Concerning Britaine.
It’s the impression of coming extremely close to something but not hitting the intended mark; so, whether it’s a fraction of an inch or a mile, a miss is a miss, something many folks today do not grasp.
“What are we missing” you might ask? In short, we are missing a life intended to be free of many of the burdens that have been created both by government and by society. Government is made up of men who make their fortunes by just coming close, in Washington its called compromise. We are preached to by the media how important it is for legislators to make deals that will affect our daily lives and more importantly, our pocket books. The founding fathers didn’t want us to come close to maintaining our freedoms, they intended for us to hit the target every time a bill was passed. They put safeguards into our constitution to ensure it happened. Lately, we have been missing our intended targets with laws like: health care, light bulbs, patriot act, and raising the debt ceiling.
Our society has been missing the preverbal mark every since we start setting Hollywood on a pedestal instead of God. We let professional liars dictate what our children should be taught, what they should eat, and what they should wear. Every child wants to be like their favorite film star, they want to act like them, talk like them and be like them. What is worst, we as parents encourage this; we see it as acceptable behavior.
We are taken back in awe when we hear of mass shootings, flash robberies, child pornography, and homosexuality run-a-muck. Hollywood has never come even close to hitting the mark when it comes to morals; why then do we listen and give credence to liars.
We all miss the mark when it comes to doing right, 1 John 3:4 “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law". It is our job to hit the mark as many times we can in a lifetime. Coming close in morals, food and holy days, is still a miss in Gods eyes; coming close in worship isn’t worshipping God. “What does it matter how we worship God as long as we love God in our hearts” this is a common excuse for doing one’s own thing and it totally misses the target with God, "Be perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48).
The mark for us is eternal life with Christ and a miss is as good as a mile even into nothingness and eternal death.

Problems

Greetings:

So often problems come when least expected and always it seems, unannounced. Problems present themselves in many ways and levels of severity and never they way we would expect them. Problems can be unique to one person or event or cover a gambit of people or things.
When problems arise, we must deal with them; they cannot be ignored nor set aside to be dealt with at a latter date. It sometimes becomes painful in dealing with our problems, and in some rare cases people even enjoy having problems. But, one thing is always for sure, problems never go away on their own accord. They won’t disappear by wishing them away, making them vanish into a puff of smoke, nor can we hand them off to someone else to deal with.
A good example, last weeks bible study was full of problems. Turns out, the upstream is bad in my high-speed service and we transmitted un-viewable data the whole evening. In addition, Frank’s phone rang during the bible study causing a minor disruption; afterwards, my dogs got into a fight and had to be broken up. The problems seem to always be funny when you’re looking back but they are highly stressful at the time we are experiencing them and boy was I stressed last Wednesday evening. The key is to see the humor and the bright side of our problems because good or bad, they will come to an end.
We will be doing Revelations chapter seven over tonight and we hope the problems are gone for now. We will be broadcasting using a different high-speed service, Frank’s phone will be off, and there will be only one dog in the house. You see, problems can be fixed you only need patience, love and enough time to sort it out, but most of all, God’s help in dealing with problems though prayer.

Christmas Cheer

Greetings:

It’s Christmas Eve; there is no doubt about it, the merchants are peddling their wares with frantic vigor. The expectations of the world for peace and harmony, good cheer; brighter days ahead are drowned out by the beating of war drums all over the world. Dictators and despots are clamoring for an opportunity too expands their wealth maybe that is what in Santa’s bag this year.
The poem from Charles Dickens (The Night before Christmas) written in 1821, romanticized this time of year and help give a false impression of a time when all is well around the world; homes are safe and children are sleeping safely in their beds, nothing could be farther from the truth.
The noise you may think you hear in the distant night air isn’t Santa and his sledge pulled by eight reindeer. The noise is wings slicing through the air pressing forward the figure of a metallic angle bringing destruction and death too so many in other countries.
The drummer boys beat so immortalized is replaced by the rat-tit-tat of an AK-47 and the food so generously gorged by many in celebration of pagan deities could go to feeding starving children for weeks and months.
This is a time of year when disparity is rampant and suicide is the answer for some who have lost their hope in humanity. Even knowing the truth about the origins of this holiday can’t turn their minds and hearts back to God, it won’t ease their pain because tradition is their master. You have to sit and wonder, how long an insane world can maintain a sense of sanity. It may not keep a moral course much longer because the horizon is bleaker than the past but no matter, we are encouraged to have a merry Christmas.
Christ will not be insulted in this way much longer; one can feel the change coming. It will be the true Christ that will bring peace, love, and safety to this world but not before society is turned upside down. As for me, I am waiting for the true Jesus Christ, not some fairy tale driven impression of hope. He is our savior, our lord and God and he will save us from all manner of oppressions, most of all, Christmas.

The Closet

Greetings:

We’ve been going through a lot of our old stuff recently and we’ve come across lots of items we had totally forgotten about. It’s like finding them for the first time all over again but with a special appreciation added in for the heart. It’s amazing what we pack away with intention of displaying that particular item somewhere in the future and then forgetting all about the wonderful memories it holds.
We all have closets full of vacation memories and knick-knacks we’ve collected over the years, photos, and items of loved ones that have pass away. Somehow they don’t seem make it to the counters of shelves to be appreciated when ones eye wonders upon them. They stay hidden by forgotten love; they were put there by fondness of what they hold captive within us, our lives.
It’s funny; we seem to treat our belief in God much the same way. We have great love for God when we first find him and we have all the intentions of displaying him in our lives. A lot of us put God in the closet because of turmoil in our lives, thinking it is only briefly. Life continues on and time allows us to forget what matters to us most and what is stuffed away in the closets of our minds.
Isn’t it time we go through our preverbal closet and re-examine our lives with the first love of Christ in mind. Isn’t it time remember the fondness of the days we were so blessed and give thanks to God we are able to have those blessing. As in our house we only see what is in full view, unless we open the closet, Christ will stay neatly tucked away from our lives.

Instant

Greetings Everyone:

I’m sitting here writing the update having my instant coffee and contemplating a bowl of one-minute oatmeal. I’m checking the weather on the computer to see what the conditions will be today, while I’m at it, I can see what kind of funds I have available to me as well.
Our lives these days revolve around how fast we can get something or how quickly our needs can be fulfilled. We don’t always realize we are smack in the middle of the instant society but we are contributors nonetheless. The designers of products thrive on one aspect of a new product or service; will it improve the gratification level for the common person.
We need food; we drive through and get it. We need money; we drive through and get it.
Need your prescription filled, you can go through a drive through and acquire them. I told Virginia that one day the world will have a drive through church, don’t laugh, one may be heading your way soon.
The younger generation is caught in an instant society built by machines and gadgets that service their every desire. They have an enormous amount of time available to experience the world. Unfortunately, they are trying all the wrong things in which to find pleasure and fill the void.
Paul wrote that in the end times, men would be without self-control and lovers of pleasure; is there a better way to describe instant gratification.
How are we too compete with society today in winning over the minds of our youths to Christ when he gratifies the heart and the world affects the physical mind. The sensations of the eye, ear, taste, smell, and touch are too much for the hearts of the more willing of our children. The heart is where the true love of Christ resides, and the instant he is let in, the faster the world will start fading away; this is only the beginning. The process of bringing a child into the fold of Christ takes a lifetime to be instilled into their hearts. One day, one hour, one minute can’t compete with the world; God can’t be experienced or appreciated instantly, it takes an eternity of love.

Transformation

Greetings Everyone:

In hearing the promises of the Presidential candidates the last couple of months being expounded upon and dissected by the media, it has become clear to me the candidates have seen a different direction they want to move the country in. I remember the last election, and the same could be said about the candidates then as well. The main theme at that time was a new transformation of this nation into something like a utopia state; instead, we have been transformed into a depressed nation. I hope we have learned as a nation at least for a while that transformation isn’t necessarily always a good thing. Transforming something means to changing it, we missed that point in the past election because if we had given it much thought and considered the source, we would have realized the kind of change they had in mind for us. This country is being transformed into a nation where its leaders are rejecting everything with God branded upon it. At the same time they are embracing lawlessness in the form of promoting illegal aliens, homosexuality, corruption in every level of government and spending with no regard to the future of this nation.Mans idea of transforming something is often flawed and misguided. Mans motives are rarely on the side of God; most often they are strictly self-promoting. We will be transformed into a utopia nation once more by a great leader one day, but that will be done by Christ in the millennium not before then. No man can give us what we seek in peace and harmony no matter how great they sound, only Christ can transform us into what we seek.

Misdirection

Greetings Everyone:

It seems Europe is playing the “Lets make a Deal” game once more and many are quick to say prophecy is being fulfilled because of the consolidation of nations over debt. It could be the beginning of the prophecy spoken by Daniel, no one can deny what is happening in Europe is currently and will continue to affect the whole world, especially toward the end of days.
The greatest of magicians will tell you plainly the key to a great illusion is misdirection. Magicians are masters at getting you to look one way, all the while doing what is necessary to complete the illusion somewhere else. Satan is the greatest of magicians; he is renowned for his trickery throughout history. Satan has tricked the Christian world into believing many things that aren’t true, why would the prophecy about Europe be any different?
Many events of far greater impact are occurring thought out the Middle East at this very moment; events that threaten Israel’s very existence as a nation. If we focus only on Europe, we may fall into the Magicians illusion and miss what is really occurring that truly fulfills prophecy.

Creativity

Greetings Everyone:

There is so much to comment on, whether it’s the Presidential race or the European financial world collapsing. For a uninvolved outsider looking in, it would look as if we lived in a dying world made up of greed and exuberance and we are too focused on getting the brass ring to notice the music’s stopped playing. If nothing changes in the way we conduct our commerce in the world; then, the future is dismal and bleak for the world and the US.
The quality of life is degrading rapidly as well, it’s reflected by music and entertainment in the world today; you can’t trust watching a PG 13 movie without expecting to hear the F-bomb at least once. It seems there is very little in the way of creativity in society today. If it doesn’t blow your mind or your eardrums it’s of no use to our younger generations.
Will we soon be like the old communist regimes, where people wore the same type of clothing, worked where they were told, and received an allotment of food daily only to sustain their lives in order to live one more day. Are we creating a land where creativity isn’t allowed; a land where dreams are stifled to the point of death and you hope is striped away? Are we willingly embracing this way of life by allowing our lives and culture to be formed by influences from the entertainment word and those we look too as authority figures?
Great men and leaders, creative men, and women of the past looked for more than simple appeasements to make the world around them better; they looked toward God and his hand in their lives. The presence of God in their lives is reflected in music and literature of their day, even the inventions and discoveries that made mans life better were often times inspired by scripture. To be inspired by God is no accident, one must be familiar with him and his word, and there you will find who we are and who we will be, in the future.

Freedoms just another word

Hello Everyone:

In the late sixties Janis Joplin sang the words “Freedoms just another word when there is nothing left to lose”. I guess we are approaching freedom once again because we are losing everything it seems. This last week a bill was passed in the Senate that summarily does away with the Bill of Rights for American citizens.
It’s disguised as a bill that gives power to any president to order the US military on foreign and domestic soil to detain and hold suspected terrorist without trial without so much as a thank you from the courts. It said in other news releases it even allows torture and summarily executions as well. It’s up to the President and the military to determine who is a terrorist.
Whatever it does allow or doesn’t, the basis of this bill is very troubling news. In the hands of the wrong man power such as this could lead to the preverbal knock on the door in the middle of the night. It could mean the end of simple freedoms as we know them and it could lead to the final assault on humanity because without the US to stop the worst of the worst, who will?
Freedom is given by God and kept by Godly men, when you have Un-Godly men in control, you will loose your freedoms. When you have the real God in control, their will not be a fear of other men, only Christ, he is the ruler of the Universe.

Double Check

Hello Everyone:

I sincerely hope everyone is having a prosperous week and all is well. After finding a few flaws in my recent updates I’ve been sending out. I’ve decided I need to start checking my work a little closer. I’ve decided I’ll double check the double checks I do each time I send one of these out. It seems if I just double check it once there are errors still left un-caught. It becomes frustrating as you can imagine writing short notes to remind you of the Bible study or the Sabbath; then, checking it over twice, and just as you hit the send button you see an error, OUCH!
It doesn’t seem to matter how close I check it, I find a mistake later on after posting it elsewhere (Waco blog). The worst thing that happens is when I’ve thought I’ve written a perfect update, send it out and then my wife reads it and says “it’s good but you did this, this and this” OUCH!
I did discover something in this whole process, life is like writing, no matter how many times you think you have it right, no matter how many times you examine yourself, you still find mistakes. We all have flaws we need to correct. We can’t always see them but others can. The flaws of others around us are more visible than our own and how we deal with the flaws of others says a lot about who we are. Remember, Christ is on our side and he encourages us to double check our lives, after all it’s his perfect kingdom we are moving to and we all want to be as good as we can be, no more OUCH’s.

Outward Display

Greetings Everyone:

In my work I see many T-shirts proclaiming the funny too the absurd and today one can see the vulgar accolades of the ignorant displayed for the worlds approval as well. Shirts that memorialize the death of gang members are quit common and of course there are the religious sentiments included to give that air of righteousness. Sports teams are very popular and a very lucrative part of any T-shirt business, so we root for the team with the biggest order. We get ballerina dance studios and construction workers (not the same folks) wanting advertisement via T-shirts and they all do one thing; they display outwardly who that person is, does, and was.

We all advertise outwardly who we are to one extreme or another even without the benefit of a T-shirt. It’s common to broadcast we aren’t Christian by our actions; we see that in people all the time. Sometimes it’s hard to see a fake Christian, because without the benefit of a T-shirt displaying who they are, they easily hide behind their religious personification but on occasions they will let their guard down and we see the true person.

A T-shirt can be taken off; it can be changed to another message saying something totally different about that person. It takes Christ and the Holy Spirit to change a man or women and the true desire to want to be changed. The message we broadcast to the world by our actions tells them who we are and what we stand for, let that message be all about Christ that dwells within you.

2011 Thanksgiving

Greetings to All:

Tomorrow we are to give thanks to God as a whole nation. We are to consider what we have been blessed with both as individuals and as a nation by our divine Father and give homage in recognition his omnipotence. This celebration will be carried out in homes, schools, churches; wherever a feast can be arranged. The nation will pause for one day and say, what?
Most will say thanks, but there is an ever growing crowed in our nation that say, “God isn’t real and what you people are giving me free of charge isn’t enough”. God isn’t a part of the equation any longer to many in our country; so, tomorrow is another great day to protest the achiever, camp out in the park and beat the drum chanting “the rich are selfish”.
The original Thanksgiving in this nation was approximately the year 1621, it came together after the Indians had help the remainder of the pilgrims, after they had survived a brutal winter where over half of their party had died. There wasn’t a single family that hadn’t been affected and they were grateful in ways we can’t fathom; they had barley survived starvation and the freezing weather.
This last year, we may have lost jobs, homes, retirements, we may have lost everything, but we still have our lives and loved ones. We still have freedoms and we still have a system that will feed us if we are hungry; it is more than many in other nations have but they thank their pagan gods even more devoutly than we thank our God for our abundance.
When we relegate the responsibility of protection, health, good harvest and our freedoms to our government, we have doomed ourselves as individuals and as a community into the hands of incompetent mortals. If we place these responsibilities back into the hands of the being that created them, we can begin to expect great blessings and miracles like the year of 1621. Thanking God and accepting God are synonymous; it requires both to have a great nation. In order to survive we must begin the return back to God as a nation or there won’t be many more days like tomorrow.

History Lesson

Greetings Everyone:

I’m not a historian by trade but I’ve delved into history somewhat and there is always the History Channel I can quote (chuckle). In the years leading up to WWII in Germany, many events transpired that brought about the war and the attitude of a nation willing to uniformly commit murder on a gigantic scale and look the other way during the fatal process. When a nation is down trodden, hungry and their national pride is broken, they search for solutions that can fix those feelings and bring back the good ole days, that is where Germany was in the late 1920’s. Germany got caught up in the promises of a smooth talking hope and change sociopath willing to barter their lives for power.
He did bring about a national recovery in Germany but built upon military expansionism.
Another thing he began doing was rationalizing away peoples lives. He began by killing the criminals and severely mentally ill justifying it by them being a burden on society, his tool National heath care. He continued to drive wedges into the fabric of society by class warfare piticurly singling out the Jewish population.
Murder wasn’t exclusively committed outside of mainstream society, at the apex of Hitler’s genocide; it happened to anyone found disagreeing with the national mantra. Why a history lesson in today’s Sabbath reminder? We learn from history, we look and see where history has lead us before. I look at the landscape today and I see a path that could be the years prior to WWII. I see division being created in the social classes, I see anti-Semitism, I see healthcare rationing on the horizon that could lead up to a death sentence for the elderly and mentally ill. I see slick talking politicians promising hope and change and delivering only misery and confusion. This path leads to destruction but there is another path, one that could lead to all the wonderful things we hope for but sadly, it’s not a path the world can see.
The path I’m referring to is Jesus Christ and the world he promises. It is there for us to see and walk on, once on it, we are protected no matter what happens on all the other roads that lead to destruction.

Imperfect World

Greetings to all:

As I watch the morning news I am struck by the daily drumbeat concerning the GOP Presidential candidates. It seems every one of them has a serious flaw or two concerning their past. In some cases it hard to believe if the allegations charged against them are true or made up but all the same, the charges become attached in the most negative of ways.
So, we are left with choosing someone who is less than perfect solution to our seemingly endless national problems.
There is no excuse for wrongdoing, it doesn’t matter who you are even the President is suppose to be accountable. So, if we are to choose someone to lead us under these standards, why aren’t the standards the same for the current President.
I know we live in and imperfect world that becomes more evident everyday but why is bad behavior okay when some people to engage in it and not okay when others are only accused of bad behavior.
The truth is it seems; the most prolific lawbreakers are our lawmakers; the men and women we send to govern our nation exclude themselves from the laws that would put you and me into prison. It’s an imperfect world because imperfect people run it and it won’t change no matter who is President only Christ can change the attitudes of the people and Christ will, he promised. Don’t be left out of the promises of Christ, hold fast to your salvation and remember, it’s an imperfect world but with a soon coming perfect King.

Quiet

Hello Everyone:

I was setting here drinking my coffee and pondering what I would put into the reminder this morning. I started by reading my e-mail, one was uplifting, so I stored it in a folder for future use. There were about 23 advertisements, some good and some not so good, (delete). Several were face book messages (delete) and a few were jokes and funny stories. One or two I will pass along the others (delete). I’ve come to the conclusions; I get entirely too much information from the outside world.
I get constant information at home, I get it at work, I get information on the radio between places in the car. If I’m not mad at what they are telling me; then, I’m scared or frustrated by the news. Someone is giving legal advice or selling me something. My mind was swirling in a circle thinking of all this stuff going on.
I stopped for just a minute turned away from the computer screen, it was silent in the house, and outside was a bird chirping away in the morning quite. I realized then, it was I who was letting all the noise in. We let the world affect us; we let it in with sound waves, and visual segments. All this is design to inform, entertain and supply us with our wants and desires but it also lets the world influence us and scare us into submission to the worldly concerns (delete).
Take a moment each day and listen in quite, that is where God is, listen to the creation of Christ, it won’t scare you or concern you but you will have a peace of mind.

World update

Greetings Everyone:

Hope everyone has had a productive and wonderful week. Well, the election season is in full swing now; you can tell, the media is busy picking a candidate for us. It will be such a relief once they come to a consensus as to who the republican nominee will be, all this showboating the nominees are doing, giving speeches and traveling around is getting a bit tiresome to say the least.
I had to sigh a bit of relief this morning hearing the news, Greece has been saved, wait a minute, they haven’t been saved, here comes another news flash, they have been saved. Wait, there is another news flash, oohh enough of this, all we can derive from the main stream media is, the worlds in deep trouble and we’ve got the three stooges in control it seems.
I heard on the news Israel was making preparations to attack Iran. Now, all we hear is, do you think they will or do you think it’s a test. It’s my opinion only; but, do they have a choice? The US has left them high and dry and everyday that goes by brings them closer to annihilation, my guess is soon, very soon.
It seems many things in this world are coming together as in a perfect storm of disasters, will this bring us into the last days and begin the prophecies that ensues in Christ return, only time can answer that question. We must stand ready as Gods people for any event, mind, body and spirit.

King has no clothes

Hello Everyone::

All is not well in the world but you probably wouldn’t know that if you rely upon main stream media for your news. All is not well in the USA either but the talking heads in Washington are touting great successes in the economy; how are doing, your friends and family are they doing better than a year ago? When will the little girl stand up and help everyone see the king has no clothes, in other words, when will the truth fully emerge about just how bad a shape the world is in right now. We aren’t getting the whole truth about the economy, simply because it’s an election year.

To make matters worst, there are very few leaders from the top down willing to do what is necessary to fix the problems we have; it seems they are content to go the way of Greece. Greece is not the model for success; the social programs so generously awarded out to the masses broke their banks; yet, we here in the USA seem to believe we need more social benefits and we have enough millionaires to pay for it all. In reality, the poor and middle class will pay and pay and pay for years to come or this nation will fall in the interim.

God said he would bring confusion upon the land if we didn’t obey him and one thing we know absolutely, God doesn’t lie. Have a blessed Sabbath.

Back from the feast

Greeting to Everyone:

We’re back, all safe and sound from the feast. Many of us are carrying extra baggage in the form of, I termed “Feast Fat” so now s the time to hit the tread mills and loose those extra pounds and get ready for next year.
We had a wonderful feast, no complaints whatsoever, the food was abundant, the fellowship was excellent and the messages were inspiring. I hope all of you had just as much fun and inspiration as we did in Galveston. Our attendance was 65 for the Last Great Day which was the highest of the feast and our total registration was 81, not to shabby.
Now it’s back to the daily grid and worries the world brings but having been with God’s people for the last week and a half has breathed a new life into me and I’m ready to face the world and its problems. I hope the feast has done the same for you; God seems to know what we need and has built them remedy for our needs and worries into the worship of God. We need only to have the faith and confidence he will do as he has promised over and over throughout the Bible.

Hello Everyone:

If you are just waking up and you are searching for the all familiar coffee cup; then you now have come to your complete senses and remembering, it’s the Day of Atonement. It’s a day of fasting and prayer, a time of humbling one’s self before God.
God’s holy days are about remembering a lot of things God wants us to do; unfortunately, remembering gets harder and harder to do each year as we get older. It good we have these days as reminders; it’s kind of like having a back seat driver helping us along the way.
I don’t want to spoil a holy day by adding political comments into the reminder, you can get all of that you want elsewhere there’s plenty of out there, it gets too depressing after a while.
Back to Gods holy days, we are preparing for the Feast of Tabernacles; another of Gods reminders in the form of worshipping God in a place where he chooses. Our plans are to be in Galveston for the eight days of fun and fellowship. I hope your pans have been made and your preparations are in full swing. It will be a wonderful feast and a time of great rejoicing, only if we haven’t forgotten anything important: like, why we are there but we will be reminded of that as well.
Have a great Feast, there won’t be any reminders sent out until we get back from Galveston but we will see most of you there, God Bless.

Holy Days

Greetings Everyone:

Hope everyone is having a good week so far. We are now one week away from the Feast of Tabernacles and I for one can’t wait for it to get here. We still have the Atonement observance this coming Sabbath and we all know what that means, fasting. No food or water for twenty four hours, this is a command from God.
This is a different holy Day season by all accounts; the dread of the unknown is hanging thickly in the air these days and people’s lives are changing in various ways. Many questions are sitting on the fringes of everyone’s mind: will we be free nations next year, will we survive this administration and are we seeing the end of the ages.
In my lifetime, I have never experienced a time in our nation as we see it today.
So many events have happened this year to fuel the fires of uncertainty: nationwide disasters, food scares, and the ever growing Islamic threat even within our own boarders just to name a few.
At a time we celebrate the plan of God, Satan is in full frontal attack against Gods people. Satan is ripping and tearing at the fabric of the church trying to cull the weak away from the fold. If there was ever a time we needed to depend upon the graces of Jesus Christ and the Father, It is now. We must pay a special attention to Gods will and his commandments; the time of fence sitting is over.
We can’t look ahead to see what God’s church will look like a year from now but we can see clearly behind us and we know what we see. We ignore the warning signs of this past year at a peril to our lives. I believe we have been given clear warnings and we haven’t seen the worst of it by any means. We are God’s people and we need to be doing what Gods people are suppose to be doing and we need to be with Gods people doing those things, God Bless you all.

Greetings All:

Isn’t it annoying when you speak to someone and they won’t listen to you. Doesn’t that irritate you to no end. It would be nice if when you spoke, everyone took account of what you were saying like that EF Hutton commercial they aired years ago. It would be amazing what one common sense person could accomplish, if the world would listen.
The common, average person could instruct our government how to get us out of the mess we find ourselves in within just a few months, how to deal with terrorist, fix education, secure our boarders and deal with taxes.
The common average American knows many of the solutions to fixing the issues that plague our nation and many are passing that information along to an unwilling or deaf group of people hell bent it seems, to ignoring the 800 Lbs gorilla in the room. We are doomed if we don’t reverse the course we are on and it doesn’t tale a genius to figure that one out and most Americans have already done so. Every poll suggest the current administration has lost the confidence of the majority of the nation and why? Because, they won’t listen to the concerns of the people; they only demonize and disparage those that suggest there is a better way.
There is one government that will listen to the people but change isn’t necessary within the walls of his world; for he is just and true and righteous. He is Jesus Christ and everything he does will be for the benefit of his people. His promises are eternal and wonderful; the blessings are abundant as well. He, who has an ear, let him hear; our King is coming soon.

Trumpets 2011

Greetings Once More:

Here we are at Trumpets again; time to get our minds into the Holy days if we haven’t already. Atonement and Tabernacles are just around the corner, I hope your preparations are made; there isn’t much time left before we embark upon our yearly journey.
We are rehearsing and event by attending the feast as one definition of scripture is defined. It seems like we are simply attending a church service but we have joined a host of beings both physical and spiritual in the celebration of the King of the Universe and his plan for man. We tend to forget we are in the presence of the most holy being in the cosmos and it was he that created man for his purpose.
If we do nothing else this year during the feast, let us focus on who we are and what we have been chosen for. I my self am not ashamed to say, I’ll special in God’s sight, and you shouldn’t be ashamed as well. Who knows if this is our last celebration of the feast of God together, who knows what the next year will bring. God wanted us to remember these days and there meaning both to him and us; by rehearsing them now. We will remember them when the darkest days fall upon us all. Remember one other thing and keep it close to your heart; when it’s the darkest, Christ the light of the world is just over the horizon and our salvation is near. Have a happy and wonderful feast of God.

Dry Season

Greetings Everyone:

Autumn is upon us and a new hope for a change in weather conditions has stirred within the communities of Texas. Rain of any amounts would be a blessing at this time. The seriousness of the drought is understated by anyone attempting to describe just how dry it truly is and the irony of this type of conditions water is being wasted by the truck loads from broken pipes. When the ground becomes too dry it shrinks and draws up becoming hard as cement; plastic hasn’t a chance under these conditions, the pipes snap like twigs.
On the foreign front we saw the leader of Palestine apply for statehood status at the UN, I’m surprised our administration didn’t endorse the application; ohh, it is election season, got to remember that. The other revelation that came out of the Middle East this week; we now have discovered Pakistan is supporting terrorist; who knew! Almost everyone except our government knew, that’s who. We keep doing this dance around these countries that hate our guts, acting as though we can change their view of us if we give them enough money. Our conversion to Islam or our deaths are the only two appeasements they seek; it’s time we learned that.
God bless you and your Sabbath; seek God daily.

Peace Makers

Greetings to All:

“Blessed are the Peace Makers, for they shall be called the sons of God” what a wonderful verse, it’s too bad this world doesn’t understand what it truly means. To truly bring peace to someone you must first, do no harm to that someone. What I see in our government isn’t peace making because they are doing plenty in the way of harm. They are harming use in every area of life, personal, social and business, we don’t have self regulation any longer in our nation, every aspect of out lives are monitored, checked and double checked.
Big Brother has his eye on you and you must conform, isn’t that what we are told each day by all the requirements we are expected to adhere to. Big Brother says this is the path to peace and security; has it lead us there to this day after decade of mounting regulation. Have more bureaucracies made us secure or have they made us become more paranoid about big brother today or should I be saying big government. We are approaching a delusional faze where are government has started playing the role of God. After all; doesn’t God feed you, protect you, and give you clean air to breathe and isn’t this what we are told is the today’s definition of our government. We are promised all this and health care as well, what’s so bad about that? Only the true Christ will and can bring peace to this earth until then; it is our job as his representatives to bring peace to those we can through the knowledge of Christ.

Greetings to all:
These are the days of our lives and here in Texas they continue to be hot. A nervousness seems to permeate the atmosphere and everywhere there is talk of surviving this President and his administration. At no time in the history of the US have we had such an administration riddled with corruption; it’s one thing after another and he still acts as if there is some sort of mandate from the people to push his insane agenda. Now the President wants another five hundred billion of your grandchildren’s money for the same old tired reasons.
I think this nation had about enough, even many in his own party are coming out loudly against him. The question is this: Can he be removed either through elections or by conviction before he has time to do even more damage. The answer to that may very well depend on what happens in Israel and Europe. Be prepared, the time of the end is at near, we must be ready spiritually and physically.

Greetings Everyone:

It’s Wednesday but my mind says Friday, my feet say Monday and my back says stop. We seem to go, go, go all the time anymore; we are gone so much our dog tried to bite us the other day when we came home. We are continually busy at a time when many in this great country of ours have given totally up. Many have made a conscience decision to stop being a productive member of society and take government subsistence however they can secure it. It goes without saying; the elderly and disable deserve our help and the money supposed to be there for them.
The problem is this, illegal aliens can now receive SSI, bums who never worked a day in their lives can receive SSI and many folks just wanting a life of laziness can get SSI, even members of congress can get SSI. We pay half the country to not work, while the other half is struggling to make ends meet, what is wrong with this picture? Paul said: 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. I know this flies in the face of social engineering and puts many liberals in a tizzy but God has a different view about government and this world is in for a rude awakening. You will work, you will obey God and you will love it, that can’t be said in today’s world about any government.

Do You Feel Safe?

Greetings Everyone:

The question was asked by the media this week, “Do you feel safer than you did ten years ago” well, do you? Ten years ago we worried about a host of different things, none of which seems matter in today’s environment. In comparison to today, we were a bit innocent and somewhat naive about the future. We hadn’t recognized the Islamic threat that has consumed the last decade. It took a brief moment on that September morning in 2001 to shine the light into the face of horror we now know as Islam and our lives were changed forever.

We see now more than then, the realism of Christ return. We see Christ and his plan taking a form we hadn’t considered ten years ago.

In many ways when I think about the coming Kingdom of God, I do feel safer, but when the light shines back onto this world, it frightens me unlike it has ever before and I don’t feel safe in my own home. Furthermore, I don’t trust our government like I did ten years ago and I didn’t trust them much then. It will take the return for Christ to relieve the anxiety from this world; until then, man will only insert fear and no one will ever really feel safe.

Enemy at the Gate

Greetings Everyone:

Fires, floods, tornados, earthquakes, hurricanes, and now the grumblings of an underlying anger is prevailing in the USA today. It seems we are a country not only losing its values but it’s coming apart at its core through natural disasters. All the while the very fabric of our soul is waning before our eyes in clusters of campaign speeches meant to convince us, they’re the savior of our beloved nation. Dissention hangs in the air as thickly as the smoke from the wildfires and vulgarity has reached a new level along with innuendos of war against one another while the real enemy is at our gates i.e. Islam, China and Russia.
Has this nation gone mad, are we in a drunken stupor, partying and dancing the night away while Rome burns? The debt collectors at the door, the nation has no more money; so, we act like no ones home and we hope they will go away. How long can we sustain this insanity and remain a great nation? The answer is obvious, we can’t. Pray God intervention and his salvation, it is our only hope.

Actions Speaking loudly

Greetings Everyone:

I grew up on a farm in the 50 and 60’s and we had a very simple life. The one thing that was always taught to me was the importance of responsibility; forthcoming when you did something wrong you were forthcoming and admitted it. What I have witnessed from the president of this country would have the old farmers that surrounded our farm fall to their knees and weep. After the sorrow anger and they probably would demand Obama be impeached for incompetence and treason.
The arrogance displayed is beyond comprehension, Obama demanded air time and a joint session of the congress and senate the very night the Republican were scheduled for an important debate. He backed down when it was made clear to him it would be impossible to organize the event since Congress didn’t return until that very day. It isn’t common practice for the president to demand such events; it is the other way around, Congress invites the President. It seems to be true when some folks in talk radio say he is nothing more than a Chicago thug bent on getting his way; he could have proven them wrong but instead he is showing they were right all along.

Washington and Irene

Greetings Folks:

The folks on the east coast are bracing themselves for hurricane Irene to make herself know this morning. The storm will make a path up the Atlantic seaboard along the eastern sea coast line and continue north. We will certainly be praying there will be minimal damage and loss of life. I have just one more observation on the storm. Washington finally has something to compete with when it comes to hot air and destruction; now it is only a matter of seeing which of the two will be more responsible for damage to our country in the coming months. I’m placing my bets on Washington, they’re not driven by nature, seems Satan himself is in control of our nation’s capital. It can only be describe as insane some of the policy decisions emerging from the depths of the power driven bureaucrats. One example; the sage brush lizard is once again being used to shut down oil drilling in west Texas at a time when we need all the oil we can get. Farm land will be off limits for cultivation, people will be out of work; again at a time when we have record unemployment. Satan is busy; we need to be just as busy making ourselves ready for our coming King and ruler, Jesus Christ.

The world in Hyper mood

Greetings Everyone:

The world seems to have hype-accelerated and is spinning towards a crescendo of monumental events. It seems one disaster story is replaced by another disaster story faster than they can report the news nowadays. The air it seems, is full of anticipation of something even bigger about to happen; nothing, would be a surprise at this moment in time.
We enjoyed a presentation by Joel Richardson on Islam in prophecy this last Sabbath and he spoke on the fall of Libya and what do we hear on the news two days later; Libyan rebels storm Tripoli and capture the country. At this time they seem to be leaderless, who or what will fill the vacuum is the question of the day. Will it be as Joel said; will they be somehow absorbed by a combine of Muslim nations directed by a group like the Muslim brotherhood? Time will give us the answer to all these questions and the way things are progressing, we won’t have to wait long for the answers too a lot of questions. Be ready, for the time may be nearer than we believe.

The gun blasted in Iowa; the great race has begun to see who will be the next great Wizard of government. All the promises handed out with smoke, mirrors, thunder and sincerity will be tested by a small group called the Tea Party. They hopefully will pull back the curtain exposing the true voice behind the great and powerful manipulator and a true leader will emerge to give our nation a brain and heart. This isn’t Kansas anymore but we in America want it to be, we just want to go back to a time when life was simple and good, fewer taxes, less regulation and we could trust our leaders in Washington. We’ve all been watching the riots in England this last week and they seem eerily reminiscent to the race riots in the US fifty years ago. Even twenty years ago the Rodney King riots in Los Angles could be a similar comparison with the looting, burning, and viciousness of the mobs. What’s truly amazing is; most of the participants don’t even know what the reasons are behind their unrest; it’s “get your free stuff time” to them.
It seems there is a great spirit of unrest in this world today. There is a great amount of anger fomenting within the ghettos and poor districts of Nations all over the world. Equally, fear and un-assuredness grips the neighborhoods in anticipation of another night of violence. Left only with political correctness and baseball bats as defense of home and property; the good people of London are sitting ducks to the whims of criminals who believe it’s an early Christmas. What next, where will be the next great event that will add to the growing evidence that we are truly approaching the end times. We must be ready, both physically and spiritually, the world may be un-sure about tomorrow but we should never be.

Greeting to all;

Boy, is it hot, how hot is it you ask, fill in the blank however you like, it will fit. We are suffering from the worst heat I have ever felt and I have lived in Texas all my life. We are breaking records daily and no end in sight. I think all the Baptist believe they’ve ended up in hell; and now, there are searching for their congressmen to get them some relief.
On another subject, we lost 30 good men this last week probably more by now. It’s my belief, we should fight our enemies with all we have holding nothing back. We have plenty of enemies in Afghanistan, with the Al Qaeda and the Taliban and many others. That is why; we should support our efforts one hundred percent, not half heartedly. Our national leaders have pulled the rug out from under our missions in foreign countries countless times, for what? Political gain is what, if we are not going to fight to win, bring them home, and for once, forget the political side of war, for our soldier’s sake.

Sabbath Reminder 08/06/2011

Greetings Everyone:

I’m not in the mood to talk about what happen this week with the debt ceiling vote; you know hat happened; we got sold a bill of goods again. What is on my mind is the heavens, I guess because I’ve been spending a lot of time lately looking up and praying. It is amazing how many astrological events will be occurring in the next few years. Blood moons occurring on key days of the year (Passover and Succoth in 2014 & 2015) comets coming close to earth and let’s not forget December 21st 2012 when the Mayan calendar ends. What does this mean to you and me? In Luke 21:11 it says: “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven”. It means we are to pay attention, prepare for the coming events, what an incredible time we live in, a time prophesied two thousand years ago. It would be a shame if we didn’t see it coming because we are too busy with something else.

The battle is finished and someone won, no one is quit sure who that was but it doesn’t feel as though it was the people, once again. It was incredible to hear coming out of the mouths of liberals accusations that were tantamount to either school yard bullying or high treason against Tea Party members for simply standing by their campaign promises. Liberals calling Tea Party member’s terrorist is a dangerous president, one that could have serious implications in the future. The liberals should have been shamed to their foundations for such rhetoric, but they were left almost unabated to demonize whatever and whomever they choose. These are dangerous times and liberals are becoming bolder by day and the future in their hands is one of ungovernable rule.

The Bitter Pill

We’ve been made to swallow our medicine and just as when were young children, we are told it will make us well. Both houses of government and the president came to an agreement and passed a bill that will cure our problems, they say. They held their noses and voted yes, irregardless of its taste and whether it was the remedy needed or not.
Is this deal even worth making, is it worth doing or would no medicine be better for us than the supposed cure. Cutting spending must and has to be a priority in our nation. Our country has burned the candle at both ends the last two years and now it’s time to pay the piper. Our over spending has made us a sick nation with very few choices on how to fix our hangover.
Medicine is only good when it is the correct medicine and in proper dosage: the disease in this country isn’t a common cold as described by so many legislators but a cancer. It is devouring the flesh from our nation and minor short term cures won’t keep a dying nation on its feet. We will be dealing with debt affects far into the future where it will become the problem of our children and grandchildren.
If we are not willing to do the necessary fixes we are headed for an abyss of incalculable consequences. Our spending is unsustainable, our debt is overwhelming our economy, and there is no more wealth to tax. Our financial doctors in the form of politicians are giving us rosy projections for the future, a future they probably won’t be a part of. The sickness is becoming too hard to bear and we as a Nation are becoming too week to sustain a life-style we are accustomed to.
Becoming healthier is a goal to all Americans and it begins with hard choices. We are bloated and overweight by excess; it’s time we deal with our problems. We need real medicine and a real cure for our societal ills, and after fifty years of the great experiment, perhaps we can come to at least a few conclusions. The poor are poor for a reason and they will always be poor and giving them more of our money won’t bring them out of poverty. Giving my hard earned dollars to abortion clinics, grants for asinine studies, and foreign aid to countries that don’t give a hoot about us are just a few things we can eliminate from our national diet.
Take the credit cards away from our government and balance our budget; require the government to balance a budget and submit a budget for approval each and every year.
We can beat this cancer that has become stage four and has permeated the core of our society. The medicine we need may even taste worse than it does now but it is a cure we can have hope in. What we have now is an aspirin for cancer and it sure doesn’t feel like its worth the trouble taking and it sure doesn’t feel like it will work.
This Nation still has life in it and I believe its core foundation is solid but we need real sacrifice from red blooded Americans those who make up its core. We need sacrifice in the form of doing what is right and not going along because of empty promises. We have to choose leaders who embrace the concept of limited government and fewer regulations.
We can take our medicine; we have proven that over the last two hundred years. What we can’t take, is having something someone else calls a cure shoved down our throats.

Language of Today

One of the greatest gifts from God too man was the ability to create incredible beauty, with music, art, engineering but most of all, the written word. Man is able to build a world of wonder and beauty simply from their minds, which gives us glimpses of places real and unreal a like. We can create an escape into a never, never land of fantasies and adventure lasting from childhood way into our futures. Describing unto us our desire to become something we believe we were never capable of being. Myriad colors and thoughts of worlds far off into the future formed our hopes and dreams, all through language.
Language makes us unique as humans; that and a thumb making it possible to pick up a pen allows man to create records, laws, poems, music, mathematics and so much more. The gift God gave to man was truly wonderful and even if you don’t believe in God you can still appreciate it as a gift all the same, for there are no other beings on this planet with the ability to write and speak.
For every gift it seems there is a corresponding curse, because of the evil in mans heart he is able to take such creativity and build worlds of elaborate schemes and lies. Entrapping innocent lives within webs of deceit, using promises built by language to fortify trust as a suit of armor about them.
We are trusting beings by nature; we want to believe in people, we are wired in such a way unscrupulous men can and do take advantage with slick words using verbiage as their collateral. We as human invest our decent souls into worshipful presentations from polished orators begging elaborately for our confidence.
Mans ability to corrupt a gift from God isn’t unique to our times but began with the very first lie from Satan, “you shall not surely die”. Man bought into the lie and now we suffer because we took the lesson Satan taught and now we give lying life every time we ignore it or condone it. From that lie to the next man learned to become more and more adept at covering his tracks when lying. It seems man learns his evil lessons well. We’ve now come to a point in man’s history where untruth is a matter of definition and a words meanings depend upon intent and often who said it and when they said it.
Is not a lie a lie, doesn’t a honest mans words have meaning too a world like the one we have today. We all want our neighbors to be honest, shouldn’t we expect our leader to exhibit the same moral character.
Along with the gift of language God said don’t lie, don’t misrepresent your actions with words but we keep entrusting in promises, hoping the moral character of men is a sure thing. We keep getting lied to over and over and we seemed shocked every time we discover a week morally incompetent human-being has once again duped us into believing they are the answer to all our problems.
The written word is the life blood of thought, thinking men learn early on to live their lives apart from influences that poison the mind. Debase character, rejection of moral teachings and a willingness to accept graft in lieu of productivity is the poison to all men’s thinking. Once weakened, we become susceptible to the wills of those dolling the poison out. In a pseudo hypnotic state men regurgitate the poisonous verbiage infecting others around them not comprehending the disastrous affects it can have.
Mans ability with the written word has made him kings, lords and presidents, local mayors, senators and legislators. He is able to exact his will upon the masses through written laws and edicts. Gods written laws are in stone and never change despite the arguments of men. Mans on the other hand, are far more fallible and fleeting reeking havoc wherever it travels. It all changes every time there is a new leader, his laws it seems are for his own narcissistic rendition of history.
Our President today is a man noted to have the ability to enlighten, inspire and speak with confidence of words. He is able to appreciate enough of the written language to learn its uses, good and bad. He is also a man of lesser character unfortunately and uses the methods written above to capture a nation and suck the power from it’s marrow to appease his lust for admiration. He cares nothing for the core or its sustainability; his appetite is insatiable and we as a nation will be short lived if we are not able to break free from his grasp.
His future is wrapped around the language he has chosen to use; it is now time to look at what the man has promised, claimed, insinuated and stated under oath. It’s time to show the world once and for all; the United States does know what a lie is and we won’t tolerate the reconditioning of our language any longer.
Language is an astonishing thing and a wonderful gift from God; we should never be as so arrogant as to think we can use such a gift wrongly and then be blessed, especially if we are the President.
